   On June 21, the interview group of "Bingzhou ecological civilization construction media tour" saw in the northern suburb sewage treatment plant that the plant is stepping up its reconstruction and expansion, and the huge biological pool has completed 35% of the construction volume. It is expected that by the end of the year, the daily sewage treatment capacity of the plant will be increased from 40000 tons to 80000 tons.

   Beijiao sewage treatment plant is the first sewage treatment plant in North China. It was officially put into operation in 1959. After decades of continuous operation, the facilities have already exceeded their service life, and the equipment is old, aging and overburdened. Problems such as foundation sinking and pool leakage are becoming more and more serious. As early as 2003, with the great attention of the municipal Party committee and the municipal government, the plant was expanded and transformed, with a daily treatment capacity of 40000 tons.

   The expansion and upgrading of the northern suburb sewage treatment plant will be carried out in the original plant site without new land. The total investment of the project is 274million yuan. Among them, the design scale of expansion project is 50000 tons / day, and the design scale of upgrading project is 30000 tons / day. "The construction will be started in February, and it is expected to be completed by the end of the year." Li Jun, the person in charge of the factory, introduced.

   After the transformation, the effluent quality of the northern suburb sewage treatment plant will be further improved to meet the class V standard for surface water. Among them, ammonia nitrogen will be reduced from 5 mg / L to 2 mg / L; Cod (chemical oxygen demand) will be reduced from 50 mg / L to 40 mg / L; Total phosphorus will be reduced from 1 mg / L to 0.4 mg / L.

   As an urban sewage treatment plant that realized large-scale reuse of sewage as early as the 1980s, after the reconstruction and expansion of Beijiao sewage treatment plant, the treated reclaimed water will not be discharged to Fenhe River, but will continue to be recycled to TISCO to realize full coverage, collection and utilization of sewage treatment.
